Composition and Properties

GEMBOND EPDM is a solvent free, two part
flexible sealant for use in filling industrial floor joints where some
movement occurs to provide support to the edges of the joint.

It can be applied direct to concrete or
applied over GEMCOAT EFS epoxy sealer .

It is formulated to give a tough yet
flexible sealant which is capable of handling most floor traffic.

It is ideal for factory floors, dairy
sheds, changing rooms, toilet & shower blocks etc.

It has a convenient 1:1 mix ratio.

For best results GEMBOND EPDM should not
be installed below 5 deg C.

GEMBOND EPDM should not be used in
expansion joints.

Mechanically roughen GEMBOND EDPM if
overcoating

Surface Preparation
-
Concrete should be fully cured.
-
Sufficient time should be allowed for initial shrinkage
of the concrete to take place (ideally 90-120 days).

Joint surfaces must be structurally sound, clean, dry and
free dust.

Concrete must be cleaned by grinding, sandblasting, or
wire brushing to expose a sound surface free of contamination and
laitance.

Method of Application

Concrete should be fully cured.

of the concrete to take place (ideally 90-120 days).
