Epoxy repair mortar for concrete floors
GEMPATCH ERM is a 2 part trowelable epoxy repair mortar which is solvent free. It is suitable for over coating with GEMCOAT EFS epoxy sealer, and then GEMCOAT EFC epoxy floor coating. It is formulated to fill cracks & holes in concrete and has good impact resistance. It is ideal for factory floors, changing rooms, toilet & shower blocks etc. It has low temperature cure and will tolerate damp surfaces and less than perfect surface preparation.

Physical properties

- Coverage: 1 metre/litre @ 1cm DFT(theoretical - depends on substrate)
- Cure tack free: Typically 1-4 hours - will vary according to temperature & humidity
- Cure hard 24 hours for light foot traffic,7 days full cure
Surface Preparation
- Concrete must be 28 days old.
- Remove laitance (alkaline salts on the surface formed during concrete cure) by either acid etching with 5% hydrochloric or grinding.
- All oil, grease , and other contaminants must be removed (GEMPREP 2000 is recommended). Loose rust, scale, and old paint must be removed.
Method of Application
- Add hardener to base and thoroughly mix by hand or with a putty knife on a board or similar. Tack free is usually 1-4 hours.
- Handling Precautions
- Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
- Do not ingest.
- Use with adequate ventilation.
- Protective clothing ,eye protection, and gloves should be worn.
- Do not breathe vapour
- Keep away from children.
