Water based epoxy sealer

GEMCOAT ES-WB is a low sheen, water based, epoxy resin formulated for use as a hard, resistant, clear or pigmented sealer for concrete floors. It has very good impact resistance, flexibility, and colour stability. It has a low viscosity for ease of application. The clear version is particularly suited to application over ground concrete.

Physical properties

• Appearance: Base & Hardener are low viscosity clear or pigmented liquids
• Odour: low odour
• Coating Type: Water based epoxy
• Packaging: 2 & 8 litre ,two part pack
• Mix ratio: 1:1 (base : hardener)
• Pot Life: Approximately 2 hours @ 20 °Celsius (200ml mix)
• Coverage: 10 sq metres/litre typical ( depends on substrate)
• Dry to Touch: Typically 1 hour @ 20 °Celsius - will vary according to temperature & humidity
• Dry to Re-coat: Typically 1 hour @ 20 °Celsius - will vary according to temperature & humidity Surface

Preparation

• All contaminants must be removed from surfaces to be sealed.
• A test patch is recommended if the product has not been used before.
• Sanding between coats is recommended if more than 24 hours has elapsed

Method of Application

• Add 1 part hardener to 1 parts base (by volume) and thoroughly mix - a drill with a mixing blade is required.
• GEMCOAT ES-WB is applied by brush, roller, or spray.
• GEMCOAT ES-WB should be recoated within 24 hours – sanding between coats is recommended after 24 hours.

Handling Precautions

• Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
• Do not ingest.
• Use with adequate ventilation.
• Use a respirator in confined spaces.
• Protective clothing ,eye protection, and gloves should be worn.
• Keep away from children.
